James N. Kim, MD, FCCP

Dr. James Kim received his Bachelor of Science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, a Master of Science degree from the Johns Hopkins University in Maryland, and his Medical Doctorate degree from State University of New York at Stony Brook, graduating with a Distinction in Research. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He then trained in the subspecialty of Pulmonary Critical Care at the University of California San Francisco, where he also completed a research fellowship at the Cardiovascular Research Institute and the Lung Biology Center. Dr. Kim is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Kim is an active member of the medical staff at Tower Health Reading Hospital, Pottstown Hospital, and Penn State Health-Saint Joseph's Medical Center. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine and serves as Chief of Division of Pulmonary Medicine at Reading Hospital and Program Director for the Jefferson University-Reading Hospital Pulmonary Critical Care Fellowship Training Program. He is also an active participant in the Directors' Council for the McGlinn Cancer Institute at the Reading Hospital.

Dr. Kim is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American Thoracic Society, and Pennsylvania Medical Society.
